The Indian Naval Academy (INA) Examination is your gateway to a prestigious career as a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy. Who can chart this course?
- Graduates with specific educational qualifications for different streams within the Navy. For example, B.Tech graduates for the Technical branch, B.Sc graduates for the Meteorology and Oceanography branch, etc.
- Age limit: 19-24 years at the time of commencement of the course.
Unfurling the Sails of the Exam:
The INA Exam consists of two parts:
1. Written Examination:
- Conducted in offline mode.
- Comprises two papers:
- General Ability Test (GAT): 400 marks, covering English, Reasoning and Numerical Ability, General Awareness, and Current Affairs.
- Mathematics: 200 marks, focusing on Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Mensuration.
2. SSB Interview:
- Conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) for shortlisted candidates.
- Assesses your officer-like qualities (OLQs) like leadership, communication skills, teamwork, and mental and physical fitness.
